This is a new gearbox mount, rear for Volkswagen Thing models.
This transmount can be found at both sides at the back of the gear box and makes that the gear box and engine are duly kept assembled on the body. The seal can get damaged due to dehydration and the influences of leaking oil so that a good connection without vibrations between the driving part and the body is no longer secured. The hardness of our 1481 transmission mount is measured by Shore A. In this specific item the hardness is 67 til 73 Shore A. this is the classification of the rubber of this item. See illustrations for further explanation.We make our transmission mounts to original VW specifications. Today we advice this transmission mount for your VW Beetle single port engines or anything 45hp and below, including the vintage 25 and 30hp set ups. Sold each, two needed per car.For VW bus (if applicable) and/or your VW Beetle dual port engine or anything 45hp and up we advice our transmission mount 1481-100 that has a harder composure as per VW specifications
