The EMPI 1600cc VW long block engine will get your car back on the road with stock VW performance and reliability. This long block engine comes backed by a 12-month/12,000 mile warranty. There's no core, no long lead-times, and no rebuilt components. Everything in this engine is brand new.
The 1600cc EMPI long block engine is built in Southern California by legendary VW racing legend Jack Sacchette. Jack Sacchette knows race engines, and he knows quality engine components. Jack is the founder of Jay Cee Enterprises and is a 9 Time VW drag race champion. His engine builds are legendary, and have been featured in Hot VW's numerous times. In short, if Jack puts his name on this project, you know these are going to be some seriously great engines.
These EMPI long blocks come with the best internal components available from the top brands in the world. Everything is brand new. Nothing is re-furbished or re-built. Actual component selection may vary based on world-wide availability, but you can trust that the engine is built the right-way using the good stuff.
Components brand names include AutoLinea, Elring, EMPI, OSVAT, Mahle, Manton, Silverline and Schadek. This engine in particular includes a new, AutoLinea Bubble Top engine case and AutoLinea dual port cylinder heads with OE style OSVAT valves, seats and EMPI proprietary 3 angle valve job performed on a Rottler valve machine at EMPI in Anaheim, California.
These EMPI long-block engines will ship via truck freight to your home. The engines are crated for safe delivery and the truck freight includes a residential lift gate service if necessary. You don't need to worry about getting it off the truck. They will deliver it safely to your door step or garage. The shipping pallet measures 26 x22 x22 . Can only be shipped to the lower 48 States.
Oil is not included. Follow included set-up amp break-in instructions before running your engine. Go where the road takes you knowing your new engine has you covered. Your EMPI Long Block will be that last of your worries.
The 1600cc engine has chromoly pushrods so when it comes time to adjust the valves, or if you are checking them before the first start, make sure they are set to zero lash . The pushrod shoould be able to spin freely, but the rocker arm shouldn't have any play against the pushrod or the valve stem.
