This is a new plexiglas cover plate for license plate light inside for Volkswagen Beetle models.
This plexiglass lens is used (together with rubberBBT 0748-115) to seal the inside of the number plate light on the W engine cover.Originally used only for M code M22 (US lighting specifications) on chassis numbers 1-0397023 to 1,600,439, and was probably intended to keep dirt out of the number plate light.Fits any W-lid with the long threaded ends on the housing
