High torque starter motor for Ford Mustang V8 manual gearbox models. It weighs 4 kg and is based on a 1.0kW Denso starter motor which has been modified to suit this particular application. It has 11 teeth/29mm diameter pinionreplaces 9 teeth/25mm diameter pinion , 103.5mm spigot diameter and is supplied with a terminal fitting kit. Please note that Ford V8's have two different offsets to the flywheel. If increased pinion depth is required, the 10mm thick spacer between the starter motor mounting flange and the motor itself needs to be removed, and the flange refitted with the shorter bolts supplied. Please also note that the original starter has 9 teeth, where as this unit has a pinion with 11 teeth, offset for increased cranking speed and torque This starter motor is 100brand new and is built to the highest standards to withstand the rigors of all forms of motoring including Road, Race and Rallying. Each unit is a direct replacement for the original starter motor and weighs less than the original with 2 - 3 time the power output. Every Denso starter motor mounts in a unique circular stepped register which enables it to be spun 360 degrees on its own axis with ease giving the unit an infinite number of mounting positions.
