Porsche 356/356 A Perma Tune Ignition Control Module 1948-59

Perma-Tune ignition module Porsche 356 and 356A models from 1948-59. The Model 356906 Perma-Tune is the sixth generation version of the original Perma-Tune ignition system co designed by Ferdinand Porsche and Theodore Sturm in the late 1960 s. The original Perma-Tune blue box was made in Newport Beach, California and was first used in Ferrari racing. The blue box became stock equipment on Porsche 911 cars built in the mid 1970 s. The Perma-Tune ignition module has remained in continuous production in the USA as an aftermarket performance part for vintage European for more than 50 years now. The Gen 6 Perma-Tune has the look of an old school Voltage regulator yet houses the latest ignition technology called Nanopulse Discharge Plasma Ignition.
