Seals suspension arms The purpose ofthese seals is to seal the transition between suspension arm andfront axle on Beetle, Karmann Ghia and Type181 after 08/65 and The 2 largerones VW 131 405 129 are also the lower ones for the Type3 after 08/64-. Thesemakes the grease stays in the front axle and the dirt andmoisture cannot penetrate into the front axle housing.The latter has ratherdestructive consequences on the front axle bearing and suspension armrunning surfaces, so cracked or hardened seals should bereplaced immediately. Weat MrFiat decided to start our own production because we couldn'tfind any reproduction that had a good soft lip that fits the suspension arm.All the reproductions we tested had a rubber lip that was much too hard andwould cause premature wear. We wanted a better quality and had the tooling madeourselves to make it perfect. We can now proudly offer these as beingequal quality to the original.
