Oil strainer 25/30 hp open . The first 25/30 hp engines up to engine no -1 677 687 had a longer oil suction tube. In these engines, an oil strainer was fitted without a bottom. Later, the suction tube was shortened and a bottom came in the strainer BBT 1853-01 .If you use the later strainer with bottom on an engine with a long intake tube, you will block it and the engine will no longer suck in oil.
